Founded in 1945 as a safe and nurturing place for urban youth, families and seniors, Neighborhood House is a community-based, educational center serving individuals and families at all stages of life and regardless of income. Neighborhood House reaches more than 4,000 people annually through services including quality early child care, after school programs for youth and teens, adult education for refugees, parenting support and a food pantry.

Why? Because every child battling cancer or a blood disorder is someone’s child, someone’s sibling, someone’s friend. MACC Fund supported research has had a significant impact. We’ve helped increase the five-year survival rate for all types of childhood cancer rates from 20% when the MACC Fund began to over 80% today… but the battle is far from over, we still have work to do.
Special Olympics Wisconsin provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage and experience joy while participating in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, Special Olympics athletes and the entire community. Special Olympics is a global movement that unleashes the human spirit through the transformative power and joy of sports. It empowers individuals with intellectual disabilities to become accepted and valued members of their communities, leading to a more respectful and inclusive society for all. Using sports as the catalyst as well as programming around health and education, Special Olympics works to end inactivity, injustice and intolerance.
For over 50 years, the Foundation Fighting Blindness has been the pioneer in innovative retinal disease research. Through gifts like yours, we have become a champion for the 1 in 33 Americans, and millions more worldwide, affected by blinding diseases.
That funding has been a driving force behind the progress toward cures, including the identification of more than 270 genes linked to retinal disease, and the launch of over 40 clinical trials for potential treatments.
